Attic Hot Water Heater Damage

This water loss occurred at a Frisco, TX residence. The homeowner was out of town. The freezing temperatures caused a hot water heater plumbing line to burst, in the attic. The blown-in insulation and ceiling drywall became saturated to the point that the ceiling collapsed. The burst water line continued to pour water, for several days, throughout the remaining rooms of the home. After removing the fallen saturated debris from the rooms, we cut and removed the non salvageable areas of the ceiling, walls and floors. We placed required drying equipment, recorded and monitored the daily drying process. The emergency mitigation was completed ahead of schedule. Our customer was happy with the timely results.
